The first in a monthly lecture series at the Petlauma Historical Museum showcasing different aspects of Sonoma County will be John Schubert, telling of the enterprising spirit and enthralling history that led to Sonoma County's storied agricultural heritage and defined its earliest denizens. Sail the seas with Captain Bodega y Quadra and wave farewell to the last train out of the redwoods. Hear about the rise and fall of Sonoma's tobacco growers and the historic opening of the Jenner Bridge as the automobile rose in popularity. Schubert will be available after the talk to sign copies of his book.
