Sep 4    'What's Your Story' Business Workshop
Workshop 4 - 5pm, stay after to get social! Your market is flooded with people just like you. You've paid good money to create a brand and modernize your website. You've outsourced marketing, implemented online tools, and taken courses on sales strategies. Your advertising budget keeps you awake at night. So why does one yoga studio succeed when there are four others in the area? Five contractors bid on the same job, yet it is won by the least experienced and most expensive. Why? The real estate on the packaging for a snack bar is very small, yet they use that space to tell you about their child and autism. How are these three examples related? Story. Know how to use it - so it can work for you. There is a reason storytelling is the latest buzzword in Business. It’s powerful, persuasive, and it works. Workshop by: Kay DeMartini Keynote at Twitter, Genentech, AutoDesk, AKQA, MHI, etc. Former advertising manager, story coach and producer since 2009. Sep 29    33rd Annual Petaluma Fall Antique Faire
Downtown Petaluma’s historic charm, including its stern Victorian iron-fronts and grand neo-classical buildings, make it the perfect backdrop for the Petaluma Fall Antique Faire. Spanning Fourth & Kentucky Streets between B and Washington Streets, this day long celebration of all things antique will take place on Sunday, September 29th, from 8am to 4pm. Now in its 33rd year, the antique faire is a bi-annual to do that marks the beginning of fall and also follows the Butter & Egg Days in the Spring. Vintage and antique lovers of all persuasions are drawn to the eclectic variety of items available from over 200 dealers from across the US and beyond. You’ll find antique wares that range from flat out oddities to ephemera, jewelry, kitchen wares, linens, furniture, books, home décor, clothing, accessories, rugs and even fossils! Whether you’re looking to make a grand investment or up-cycle some shabby chic decor, there is something for everyone’s budget. Dubbed “The Bay Area’s Premier Antique Center”, the Historic Downtown offers a number of antique stores in walking distance of the Faire, as well as mom & pop retail shopping, cozy cafes, award winning dining, live music and entertainment. We invite you to come and experience the charm of downtown and peruse antiques in our beautiful waterfront setting. Come between 7:00-11:30am and enjoy the Petaluma Mason’s superb pancake breakfast in their historic iron-front building’s grand ballroom. The Petaluma Downtown Association is a not for profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the Petaluma Historic Central Area. Their mission is to promote and enhance downtown’s position as the city’s retail and commercial center. The PDA accomplishes this through events that bring 50,000 plus people to downtown yearly and through marketing and promotion of the Downtown. All proceeds benefit the Petaluma Downtown Association for future shows.
