Sep 4 'What's Your Story' Business Workshop |
Workshop 4 - 5pm, stay after to get social! Your market is flooded with people just like you. You've paid good money to create a brand and modernize your website. You've outsourced marketing, implemented online tools, and taken courses on sales strategies. Your advertising budget keeps you awake at night. So why does one yoga studio succeed when there are four others in the area? Five contractors bid on the same job, yet it is won by the least experienced and most expensive. Why? The real estate on the packaging for a snack bar is very small, yet they use that space to tell you about their child and autism. How are these three examples related? Story. Know how to use it - so it can work for you. There is a reason storytelling is the latest buzzword in Business. It’s powerful, persuasive, and it works. Workshop by: Kay DeMartini Keynote at Twitter, Genentech, AutoDesk, AKQA, MHI, etc. Former advertising manager, story coach and producer since 2009. NPR storyteller, Multiple SF Moth winner, TV Comic. KayDemartini.com |

Sep 7 Petaluma Educaitonal Foundation BASH Gala |
This year’s 2019 PEF BASH, supporting the mission of the Petaluma Educational Foundation (PEF), guarantees to be another legendary night of dancing, dining and auctions benefiting all 38 TK-12 public, not-for-profit and charter schools in the Petaluma area. This special gathering of the community will raise funds benefitting the mission of the longtime local non-profit, working to enrich and enhance the academic experience of each and every one of our 12,000 students.
On Saturday, September 7th, PEF is rolling out the red carpet and welcoming guests who will enjoy a night filled with live music, dining, dancing and more with the event theme of The BASH: Your Star is Born! The event, hosted at the Petaluma Veteran’s Memorial Building, starts with signature cocktails, a super silent auction, and raffle, the night continues with a live auction offering an opportunity to bid on the most sought-after packages featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences, to all-time favorite culinary and excursion auction lots, takes place during the elegant sit-down dinner portion of the evening. All this leads to the gala’s highlight of the night, where the essence of the night’s message about financially supporting the effort to elevate the educational opportunities for every student truly takes center stage and the 400+ guests collectively raising their paddles pledging support to all Petaluma students, who benefit from PEF’s Impact Grant program. One hundred percent (100%) of the pledges during the Fund the Future paddle raise go to support the foundation’s annual grant program which last school year awarded over $200,000!This, combined with the total PEF Scholarship awards, amounts to $7,159,617in support through the mission of PEF since its inception.
Live music by the Bay Area’s own Pride and Joy will add to the night’s star-studded event. All-inclusive tickets $175 pp ($150/pp early bird special through August 10th) are available today by contacting the PEF Office at (707) 778- 5063 or visiting the event website at PEFBASH2019.afrogs.org. PEF’s BASH Online Auction kicks off August 14th - August 28 (same link as above). The annual PEF BASH event provides the public an opportunity to hear first-hand how they can partner with others to continue to the mission of the foundation as it launches its 38th year as a local nonprofit with a legacy of positively impacting generations of students.

Sep 29 33rd Annual Petaluma Fall Antique Faire |
Downtown Petaluma’s historic charm, including its stern Victorian iron-fronts and grand neo-classical buildings, make it the perfect backdrop for the Petaluma Fall Antique Faire. Spanning Fourth & Kentucky Streets between B and Washington Streets, this day long celebration of all things antique will take place on Sunday, September 29th, from 8am to 4pm. Now in its 33rd year, the antique faire is a bi-annual to do that marks the beginning of fall and also follows the Butter & Egg Days in the Spring. Vintage and antique lovers of all persuasions are drawn to the eclectic variety of items available from over 200 dealers from across the US and beyond. You’ll find antique wares that range from flat out oddities to ephemera, jewelry, kitchen wares, linens, furniture, books, home décor, clothing, accessories, rugs and even fossils! Whether you’re looking to make a grand investment or up-cycle some shabby chic decor, there is something for everyone’s budget. Dubbed “The Bay Area’s Premier Antique Center”, the Historic Downtown offers a number of antique stores in walking distance of the Faire, as well as mom & pop retail shopping, cozy cafes, award winning dining, live music and entertainment. We invite you to come and experience the charm of downtown and peruse antiques in our beautiful waterfront setting. Come between 7:00-11:30am and enjoy the Petaluma Mason’s superb pancake breakfast in their historic iron-front building’s grand ballroom. The Petaluma Downtown Association is a not for profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the Petaluma Historic Central Area. Their mission is to promote and enhance downtown’s position as the city’s retail and commercial center. The PDA accomplishes this through events that bring 50,000 plus people to downtown yearly and through marketing and promotion of the Downtown. All proceeds benefit the Petaluma Downtown Association for future shows. For more information, please visit online at www.PetalumaDowntown.com, find Petaluma Downtown Association on Facebook, or give them a call at (707) 762-9348. |
