Healthy Petaluma District and Foundation (Healthy Petaluma) is a community-owned and operated public agency dedicated to improving the health and well-being of everyone in southern Sonoma County. Healthy Petaluma was established in 1946 to expand hospital care to the community. For 80 years, we have worked to ensure our community has access to comprehensive health and wellness services, including access to a local acute care hospital with emergency services. Today, Healthy Petaluma supports the community through grantmaking, targeted strategic health initiatives, and strong local partnerships. Our Grant and Sponsorship Programs distribute hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to local nonprofits, schools, and social service organizations. In 2024 Healthy Petaluma engaged Blue Zones in a 3-year transformational community wide well-being initiative, resulting in health and well-being risks being reduced. Healthy Petaluma runs direct community programs, including HeartSafe Community, HealthQuest CPR, and our Community Health Worker Program.
