SUMMARY:Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary Presents the 4th Annual Brews and Bites for Bounty
DESCRIPTION:The event features entertainment by The Highway Poets\, an award-winning Northern California Band\, well known for its lively blend of rock\, folk\, and indie music. This year's raffle theme is fantastic Garden Delights\, with raffle items donated by local businesses including Hydro Farms\, Cottage Gardens and Bounty Farm staff dinner\, Farmers' Market Bucks from Agricultural Community Events\, fabulous wine tastings and more! Tickets are $20\, which includes delicious Mexican food from Nopalito\, Bounty Farm fresh salad\, dessert\, and non-alcoholic beverages. Your favorite Lagunitas beer and local wines will be available for purchase as well. Tickets will be available in advance and at the door. Entrance for youth 13 and younger is $10\, children under 7 will be admitted free of charge. Proceeds will support Petaluma Bounty's programs and mission to make healthy food available to everyone. A program of Petaluma People Services Center\, and with the help of hundreds of volunteers\, Petaluma Bounty provides sustainably grown food for the Petaluma community\, including affordable produce to low-income families and seniors for whom fresh\, locally grown food would otherwise be inaccessible. Petaluma Bounty's programs include Bounty Hunters gleaning network\, Food is Medicine (PLAY/ Petaluma Loves Active Youth\, Bounty Farmacy\, and Produce Prescriptions)\, Local Affordable Food Incentives (including Farmers' Market LIFE\, sliding scale farm stands and Sponsor-A-Box)\, Food and Farming Literacy\, Grow Your Own (supporting individuals and groups to have a garden)\, and of course\, the Bounty Farm\, an educational urban farm growing sustainably-raised produce and teaching sustainable agriculture to students\, interns and the general public. The fruits of our collective efforts include 8 community gardens\, over 600\,000 pounds of fresh produce diverted into the emergency food system\, an urban educational farm\, award-winning community-based programming on nutrition and health\, farm education and food literacy\, gardening\, and innovative affordable local food incentives.
