Leadership Petaluma First Responsders Scholarship Fundraiser
Every year, the Chamber offers two First Responders a scholarship to participate in the Leadership Petaluma program. 1 Fire Department employee & 1 Police Department employee are given the opportunity to be part of this Leadership Program where potential leaders are exposed to a range of ideas and experience that will best prepare them to guide Petaluma toward achieving its highest potential.
The Leadership Petaluma Alumni Committee is responsible for planning & hosting an event to raise money for this scholarship fund. Please join us on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5:30p - 7:30p at the Petaluma Arts Center. We will be hosting food, drink and raffling off some great prizes to reach our goal of $1600 which covers the costs for the two First Responder participants.
The committee is also excited to announce that, among other wonderful silent auction items donated by the community, we will be offering two "Super Auction" items:
Dinner for four with the Fire Chief
Petaluma's new Fire Chief, Leonard Thompson, has generously donated dinner for four (he said he'll even cook it!) at the Petaluma Fire House. This enchanting experience will also include a behind-the-scenes tour of the firehouse, firefighting equipment demos, and a surprise firehouse gift package!
"Police Chief for a Day" for your child or grandchild
One lucky child will have the opportunity to be the city's top crime-fighter! This exciting experience includes being picked up in a police car and taken to the police department for an important meeting (and lunch!) with with Petaluma's own Police Chief Patrick Williams, as well as being properly outfitted and taken on a personalized behind-the-scenes tour of the police station, a tour of the Mobile Command Unit, and ending with a photo behind bars!
