Petaluma Business Institute
As a small business owner, you know that it's lonely at the top. You don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of or discuss your problems. You don't have a board of directors, and you often can't turn to your employees. It's hard to be objective about your own business and management style. However, some savvy entrepreneurs have found a solution, based on the old proverb, "all of us are smarter than one of us." That's why they band together, with someone to guide them as they pool their collective wisdom. Peer advisor groups are made up of like-minded small business owners who seek input from their equals. Members function as each other's inspiration, confidants, and sounding boards. They meet regularly to share ideas, challenges and solutions, plus a heaping helping of camaraderie. Peer advisory group members are generally more successful than other small business owners. That's because of the advice, feedback, and support they receive from one another (and can't find anywhere else!).
