Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti is a fun filled community event that celebrates the fact that George Lucas used our town of Petaluma to film his first big hit movie. Come join us as we bring back the "happy days" protrayed in the movie. Stroll through the over 350 classic cars, many that have come from as far away as Canada. Stop by our local businesses so you can collect a whole set of the American Graffiti trading cards. Shop at our local businesses, many offering specials. Check out the vendors or grab a meal at our own Mels Diner while listening to the oldies played by our own XERB radio station. At 4pm, the roar of all those classic cars fills the air as the annual cruise starts up. Grab your chair, pick a spot, and watch as the over 350 cars drive right past you as they "Cruise Our Boulevard". Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti is hosted by Cruisin' the Boulevard, Inc., an all voulnteer 501c3 non-profit. All of the net proceeds from this event are reinvested back into the Petaluma Community.
