Rumi’s Caravan, presented by Larry Robinson, Kay Crista and Doug Von Koss
Thursday July 18th from 6 - 9 pm
A benefit for Ceres Community Project. An evening of poetry in the ecstatic tradition, featuring the works of Jellaludin Rumi, Hafiz, William Blake, Mary Oliver and others presented in the oral tradition with musical accompaniment by Kim Atkinson on world percussion and violinist Cynthia Albers.
The evening starts with the freshest and healthiest of Sonoma County’s bountiful harvest in a delectable Middle Eastern Feast provided by Ceres Community Project. In the soft light of evening, wander down the bamboo-lined path into the serene environment of the Osmosis zen garden with its rock sculpture inspired by the Chinese Zen parable of the Ox and the Ox herder. As you encircle the koi pond joining with turtles and dragonfly, enjoy the sweet night air mixed with poetry, song, and music..
