Cool City Challenge
Thursday, March 24, 1:00 – 2:30 pm, on Zoom.
The Cool City Challenge awarded grants of $1 million to three cities for 2022: Petaluma, Los Angeles, and Irvine. We will be involved in creating the template for 50 cities to receive similar grants in 2023. We hope to set the example for the world! Cool Petaluma is our chosen name for our grassroots effort focused on building up our social networks to help neighborhoods become more planet-friendly, disaster-resilient, and community-rich. We are seeking volunteer block captains to help improve our quality of life and empower neighbors to take action together, including pushing for necessary governmental actions. Open to the public,
Presenter Dennis Pocekay, a retired physician, is vice mayor on the Petaluma City Council and member of the Cool City Challenge Steering Committee.
