'First Thursday' - Labor Law Q&A Series
OCT 3rd Cancelled
Title: Can I See My Personnel File? - The First Sign of Trouble
Often a request to inspect or copy a personnel file or payroll record is a sign that a lawsuit may be forthcoming. Do you know what to do if an employee asks to see their files? Learn about your rights and legal requirements in this one hour presentation, question and answer session for employers by seasoned labor attorney, Jay G. Putnam. Please bring your questions.
This ongoing seminar series is being conducted by veteran Petaluma labor & employment attorney, Jay Putnam. Putnam, has advised employers exclusively, in labor matters for over 38 years. He hopes to provide local business owners and managers with a solid, working understanding of California labor law, as a means of helping them avoid the often crippling cost and disruption caused by lawsuits resulting from a misunderstanding of applicable legal requirements.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions. Putnam says he intends to conduct the seminars as "informal," working sessions, where people can bring their questions and leave each month with important information that will immediately improve their business operations.
