Petaluma Wetlands and Watershed
Thursday, April 21, 1:00 – 2:30 pm on Zoom.
We are facing many issues related to water. The Petaluma marsh is at risk due to sea level rise. Flooding occurs frequently. Climate change is stressing water supply to plants, animals, and people. Several maps will describe the issues around water and our wetlands, presenting current efforts, and proposing a strategic plan for the watershed using mostly nature-based solutions.
Presenter: John Shribbs, PhD is a retired teacher and scientist. He holds numerous degrees in Horticulture, Weed Science, Statistics, Pest Management, Biology, and Chemistry.
